A Life In Weighting

Hey Everybody! I’m so excited to be blogging I can hardly contain myself! There are so many things I’d like to share with all of you, and talk about with you but first lets start with who I am so you can get to know me a little…

Who am I?? Well I’d like to think I’m pretty smart, but some would put that up for debate! I’m 23 years old and I have been waiting for WLS since I was 18. I chose  RnY Gastric Bypass for two reasons, the first being that my Mom had it eleven years ago and I saw the results and I have knowledge about it from a close source, and the second reason being that it is the most permanent surgery out there for weight loss. I have tried everything from cleanses to fasts, lifestyle changes, limiting calorie intake, liquid diets, Atkins, South Beach, herbal magic, sure slim, Dr. Bernstein, 3 different personal trainers, calories in vs calories out, almost every single pill in GNC, and just limiting portion sizes. However much I tried the wonderful scale hates me and I just can’t seem to lose the pounds so this surgery is a last resort if I want to be able to lead a healthy life for myself and someday for my family. I was in school to become a Practical Nurse, but S^&*^& S*$# Community College is HORRIBLE, so I was dismissed from that school and they took $12,000.00 from me! So for now I am just concentrating on myself and living day by day working to hopefully regain some of that money!

What else can I say? I love going to the gym and meeting all the wonderful people there. I always seem to make a new friend. I took fitness theory a few years ago and wanted to get my license for Personal Training, but after looking at all of the personal trainers and noticing none of them were fat…I decided to just train myself! I guess I can add “Become personal trainer” to my list of THINGS I WILL DO ONCE I AM THIN. That is a list that is about a mile long. I have: go zip-lining, bungee jump, get a cute snow suit, find jeans that fit, not feel self conscious when I get into a pool, let the sun hit my skin in a bikini or even just a bathing suit that isn’t like a full body suit, go on a vacation, walk through the mall and not get depressed because I am too fat for most of the sizes in there, etc etc. Oh, and being able to lay on the beach without being afraid of somebody saying another one of those whale jokes to me…yep I could probably recite three dozen of those jokes.I could go on all day about that damn list. I try not to let it control me, but who am I kidding…it does. I have a appointment with Dr Sampath on August 31st , so we’ll see where that leads me but until then I’m going to just keep on truckin’ and talking to all of you!! Okay that’s it for today, I hope I didn’t bore you too much!!
