I'm the type of person who likes to know what's going to happen ahead of time (if possible…can't seem to find out the winning lottery numbers in advance!).  I will be meeting Dr. Amson for the first time next week regarding self-pay midband surgery and I'm hoping that some of you can tell me what to expect.

 I didnt have Dr. Amson as my surgeon, but with that being said he did assist with my RNY surgery as my surgery went a little longer and he was called in.

I found Dr. Amson to be a very caring, and compasssionate doctor.  He came and seen me while I was in the hospital, and always took the time to answer my questions.  Very knowlegeable and friendly and is a genuine person.

Apparently the wait in his office can take a while, write down notes ahead of time to answer your questions cause your time will go by quickly, tell him what you are doing to get ready for surgery.

surgery Feb 3/2009 Dr. Rusnak & Dr. Amson, Im down 163 lbs with 47 lbs more to go til goal weight.
