Got home yesterday. It was a very long flight (not really, just seemed it to me). Everything went like clockwork. They're very fast, professional and efficient. Beautiful facility and literally all beautiful people. They had prescribed liquid codeine for me but I didn't need it. Controlled the gas pain with Tylenol and GasX. Incisions are fine but the tape makes me itchy. Phoned the nurses and they said "Nope, no can take off for a week". Darn. Made the mistake of getting on the scale when I got home and I was exactly the same as I left. Sigh! Must be patient. Am going to hide my scale. Going for a walk on my treadmill now while I watch TV. Cheers everybody! Thanks for being here.

Hi Skinny Sue! Welcome to Bandland!!! Don't worry not having lost any weight. Right now is a time for healing and letting your band settle into place. There is some swelling that creates restriction but don't worry too much about any major weight loss right now. The weight loss comes once you get fills and have restriction. If you are in the Victoria area we would love to have you come to a meeting. Nov. 26th 6:30 VGH in the glass rooms by the cafeteria. Take it easy and congratulations!!! Barb
