Here's the correct link…

Also, I think this teen who had the surgery may actually be too skinny.  What do you think?

I think this young girl is courageous to go on national TV with her story and show to the world what this type of surgery can do for a person.  I think she is beautiful and if she`s happy with her weight, sees her doctor regularly and eats well, there`s nothing to talk about.  Why are `we`discussing her weight…..you must know how that type of behaviour can strip a person of their confidence.  I am not trying to make you feel bad about what you said, but I just don`t believe `we`need to be concerned about her weight if she and her doctor aren`t.Smile

Hi Momjan,

I don't feel bad, don't worry about that.

Firstly, I think she is in the Toronto area, so she likely won't be reading this Board.  Secondly, I have lost over 120 pounds with Lap Band surgery and people tell me all the time I have lost too much, and am getting too thin – I take that as a compliment and am not offended – it means I did something right.  Thirdly, it is possible to get too thin when you have Lap Band (this can be medically verified by what your BMI has become and often sunken cheekbones is a good indicator – like the young lady in the story).  It means that it is time to let some of your precious fill out.  In fact, I saw someone post something on the Board here sometime ago – not sure if they were Lap or RNY stating that they had lost enough weight and what should they do to stop losing.

Yes – she is courageous to come forward, no debate about that.   I was really just hoping to stimulate some discussion on here…and it looks like I did.

Haha..yeah, well some of us have opinions on everything…lol.  And that`s what opinions do… start conversations!!!!!  I never noticed the sunken bones, so yes, perhaps she just needs to make sure she maintains and doesn`t lose any more.  Wow; that`s a fantastic weight loss – congratulations to you; keep it up!!!!!  Wink
