Sorry to repost again about the same thing (not sure if people see my new question on my old post)….I understand that the wait for the lapband (self pay) is usually a few months….what I`m wondering is if I`m going to self-pay do I still get my GP to refer me and if my GP does refer me how long approximately until I see one of the lapband doctors for the first time (now to go and figure out why the question mark on my keyboard isn`t giving me another symbol – lol).

Any help with my questions is greatly appreciated!

In case anyone else wants this information here it is.  I called  Dr. Amson's and Dr. Tang's office today, spoke with an awesome young lady.  For the self-pay lap band she said that once they received a referral from my doctor I would get an appointment in about two weeks…..then once you do all the tests, etc., the surgery would most likely be completed by this summer.
