I came across this show on tv a couple of days ago and just thought I should mention it.  It is one of the best examples of a) why we should lose weight and b) what happens to us and the food we eat.  I gave Dr. A. a copy of the show, but you have to watch it on a computer.  You can also see the show in eight segments on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v…..wQf76Xs.

It is a little gross in parts, they do a disection of a 380 pound man, which is extremely interesting and explains why I have difficulty breathing when I exercise.  It also shows why large people's knees hurt, what constipation looks like from the inside, and what happens to a fatty liver.

They also have a lot of tips for better eating and understanding your body.

I highly recommend this show if you can catch it.

Your right about Jamie Oliver but the show is different.  His revolution series is about eating in general while Save Your Life is about what the food does in you.  Also there is a difference between the American and the BBC version.  The BBC version is almost twice as long with more gross bits.

I've watched the 1st two segments of the American "Food Revolution". Got to give credit to Jamie Oliver – Seems like an insurmountable challenge, but I suppose it like throwing 1 starfish back into the ocean. Everyone you pick up and throw back makes a difference.
