Hey Roxeanne – can you let me know the outcome of your call? I was always told never to call the office etc so I have been really good about it, but I would love to talk to Alisa and just find out where she thinks I am sitting in terms of surgery dates etc.

At my most recent app't Amson wrote "refer to anaesthesiologist" and "ready for surgery" but I would like to know, on average, how long people are waiting for referals to the anaesthesiologist. I have been a patient of Dr.A's now since October 2006.

Well I phoned Elsa at Dr Amsons office today and I am now very dissapointed.  Amson told me srping and I knew that that was probably optimistic and the it may be more like summer.  However, Elsa says I am on the list but that I am looking at probably at least another year.  So for those of you that are upset that Amson chooses people who want to have children first you will be happy to know that that is not how it is being done anymore.  Elsa picks and she is going in order.  She is currently working on getting surgery dates for those who first started seeing him in 2005 or 2006.  I didnt start until 2008. 

Megan Elsa had no problems with me phoning and checking where I stand.

Thanks everyone!

 I am doing much better now.  I was just very dissapointed because I had gotten my hopes up.  When I saw Amson in October I thought I still had at least another year or two left to wait and he said NO way  that he would see that I was done by spring.  I guess I took him at his word and to heart a little more than I should have as I know his history of being overly optimistic.  I know my turn will come when it is meant to be and in the mean time I am going to keep doing what I am doing and continue working on improving my health daily.  I thank everyone here for thier support and I look forward to cheering everyone who gets a date on in thier journey. 

Megan! You should be getting a date soon if what Elsa said was true.  She says she is working on booking people who started thier journey in 2005 and 2006.  Keep us posted on how things are going for you.
