I didn't stay there but I have a WLS friend who did stay there.  She said she liked it.  She shared a room and there are lots of ways of meeting people in the common areas.  It is near the corner of Oak Bay Avenue and Foul Bay Road.  Within a few blocks of the Oak Bay Rec swimming pool and gym.  Bus connections to RGH are not that great.  And it would be a rather long walk.
