I have been thinking about doing this posting for several months now,  and finally decided that I should post.  If you dont think I've done the right thing, please let me know.  I'm a retired health care worker, and as such, dont want this to sound like I'm advocating the use of this, but I have had such great results, I feel that I'd be doing a disservice if I dont say something.  I am not advocating that this medication be used, ONLY that you and your doctor talk about it, and if they think it will help you, then only should you try it.  That being said,  one of my doctors told me I should be on Victoza.  It has been a big help in getting my blood sugars down to where they should be, with great HgA1C results as well.

The best help this drug has done for me, is that part of its make-up, its a good appetite control.  I started taking it in April of this year, and I'm closing in on a 100 pound weight loss.  I've been heavy, obese, for most of my life.  I've done the diets and all that.  The most I could ever loose was 50 pounds.  Victoza has helped me a lot to get to where I am now.

Again, I am NOT advocating that you use this drug, only that if you are a Type 2 diabetic, that you talk to your doctor about its use.  Its given by injection by a pen type device, using very fine, short needles that you almost cant feel when it goes in, in case you have a needle phobia.  Its not cheap, but if you have pharmacare and/or Blue Cross, the cost drops a lot.  If you are already on this medication, I'd like to hear from you as to how it works for you.  I may not be a typical patient (thats what my wife tells me LOL)
