I started with Dr Rusnak(was on Dr. Amson's waiting list three years)over a year ago and thought I was ready to go but then he retired.
I then seen Dr Malik last Sep./Oct and he told me a month for surgery, then the cutbacks nailed us again. I seen him in Nov again and made the mistake of telling him how stressed I was and he told me he wanted me to write down everything I eat and do for exercise for 3-6 months. I was so upset that last month I took my husband with me, and he was going to fight for me if Dr Malik tried to roll over me again. Dr Malik came in and said right away, "your ready to go"
I did most of the tests with Dr Rusnak last summer, then Dr Malik added some more. (CT scan, and blood specialist due to my blood clots, and a phsyc evaluation) then last month he told me I need a scope done too. (I thought the CT scan was in place of this)
Honestly, Dr Malik seems hot/cold with his appointments. The first time I was so nervous because I was hearing people were having such bad experiences, but my first one was great. The next 2 were really bad and I was really down about it and the last one was great of course.
When I seen him last month, I had my food journal, print outs from here on what to do, how to eat etc and he didn't even look at any of it!!! So I dunno…..
I'm a lighweight at 232lbs but have co morbilities coming outta everywhere. I lost 35lbs over the last year but Dr Malik told me it didn't count cause it was due to stress!!!
