Hi Everyone:
I'll be moving the website to a new host provider this week. Hoping all is transparent, but reality is always more difficult than the sales guys says it will be.
Reason for move: – Speed of the site has steadily gone down hill over the last few years. I think the host provider I've been with for the last 8 years has made changes that impact the speed and not for the better.
I've picked a host provider here on the West Coast (Calif) so the "lag" should at least be less.
SO … if you notice the site down, this week, you know what it's about. (hopefully not)

PS – There could be some missing posts after the move. I will try and take the latest snap shot of the site, but it does take time to re-progagate the domain names to the new host, so potentially some posts might get lost.
Hope to attemp today (Sunday – if all falls into place)

Faster!! That's what I want to hear ! :) Comments from others??
The URL is still propagating so some may still be hitting "maintenance" . In fact I've experienced and (others too) hitting the new site and then coming back and getting the "maintenance" message after. This happens when you with a large internet company like Shaw or TELUS … The don't write the new URL file to all their servers at the same time …depending which one you hit will either direct you to the new site or still the old.
Most should happen across the world today, but there could still be some out there that take another 24 hours. If you hear form any users that having problems, please encourage them to stick with it and keep trying.

It is so much faster now. Also I am on Shaw and having no more troubles getting on so SHaw must be finished propogating all servers now.
