It's actually pretty cool. When you're on their site, you hit a "Stumble" button and it will pull a website from thousands out there that you might never have visited based on your preferences.

As a website owner, you can also register your website to be part of the thousands that are "stumbles" by their users. For use here on WL&S Support, the more people that use the "Stumble" button on our articles, pages etc, the higher ranking our site gets on Stumbleupon. That's why I've added the Stumble button along with our Facebook and Twitter links in the right hand side bar. It's actually a very important process for us as Stumbleupon has become the "social network" of websites just like Facebook is for individuals. Think of the Stumble button as a "like" button.
