Im having more complications from my hernia repair surgery, Im swelling up more even though I have the drain still  in, running a fever, and in a tremendous amount of pain and my stomach is very red Im already on antibiotics as a precaution, Biaxin.   I went and seen my gp today who tried to get me into a general surgeon over here, but they said go to emerg as can't get me in fast enough.  Im going to emerg later today.  My surgeon is away right now.

I went into emerg this morning at 11 am.   They did a ct scan, as my stomach was swollen, red, had a lot of pain, and was running a slight fever.    I was there til 9:15 pm tonight, and they were working on getting my pain under control and gave my IV antibiotics as I have an infection in my stomach.  They have left the IV in my hand, and I have to go back daily for 7 days for IV antibiotics as well as they have given me a prescription for oral antibiotics at the same time.

Really tired and drained from all of this.

As well Monday I have to go in and have the drain checked and flushed so we will see probably will end up going in 2 different times during the day one for flushing the drain and one for the IV antibiotics.

They want me to go back and see my gp and also get an appointment with the general surgeon here as well.

Well that light at the end of the tunnel keeps moving on me…

I have been swelling again and had severe pain again, so went to my gp who talked to the radiologist and I went in for another ultrasound sure enough I have fluid building up in that area again where my hernia surgery was done.

The radiologist wants me to try a tensor bandage around my stomach he thinks if the stomach walls are touching together then the fluid leaking out will stop.

I had tried the binder but where it bends on my stomach was causing a lot of pain.

I go back for another ultrasound in a week, are these complications ever going to end with this hernia repair surgery that was 3 1/2  months ago, I am so frustrated and tired of this.

Well this last Saturday was interesting, I woke up to chest pain that went right through to my back.   I took dillaudid and the pain didn't come down   I called an ambulance, two ambulances game and a firetruck.

They said it sounds lke a disection or tear in the arota, meaning an anneurysm or a heart attack.   They took my bp and pulse and it was up, so they got me in the back of the amulance they were trying to keep me calm but of course  was a little stressed.

Turned out to be impacted gallstones, had surgery Monday after noon/evening as there were no beds available so waited in emergency.   Then for two days heard them say the srurgery is coming…..?????

Had surgery on Monday night, came out of recovery room at 9:00 pm, have nasty pain in my ovary on the right side since they took the drain out not sure what from so will go go in and find out why severe oain from the drain being removed.

I came home from hospital one day from the OPEN 19 stapled impacted gallstones surgery, and went back in with an infection in my stomach so had to stay in 5 more days and was discharged a few days ago.  Having a hard time trying to get sleep as painful.

Im hoping October is a month of healing, and no more surgeries.

Nice to see there is movement on this website again.

Thanks for your support everyone, means a lot to me.  Good thing is throughout this whole ordeal in the last two weeks Ive lost 3 lbs, so that is good.
