So I am looking to all you post oper's for your advice on a Festive Gourmet Hot Coffee/Drink that is safe for me to have from Starbucks? as we only have a starbucks and a Tim Hortons here. I would prefer something that is sugar free and of course low fat or even fat free and low carb. I am feeling like I need to treat myself to something special….:)

I always have a low fat Steamed milk, and I ask for sugar free vanilla syrup, and then I sprinkle cinammon on top and put in a splenda packet instead of sugar.

I never know what to order at Starbucks :(
I've been doing the ice latte's at Timmie's though. Does anyone have
the fat/sugar content for this? I couldn't find it on their
flyer

Starbucks advertises that they have over 87,000 combinations, so no wonder we're confused about what to order. Unfortunately about 86,995 aren't good for us
I always order a Tall coffee, black and drink about half of it. My wife orders their "Calm" tea, with no sugar (Artificial sweeteners)
If you're into the "Artisan" type drinks – eg Double latte, skinned, with espresso and camel – then check out Starbucks nutrition list . Unfortunately, I suspect you're find very few that meet the 5/5 rule. You can also check their Fav Drinks page under 200 calories – I thought this page was thoughtful on Starbuck's part. There are actually one or two drinks on this page that have less than 5/5 grams of sugar/fat.
I checked Timmies's site out too, but as you discovered they don't list their Latte. You can get latte's with 5 grams of fat or less, but unless they make it sugar free, most will be around 30 grams of sugar!!

I'm not surprised re the sugar. I got caught once when I bought a "all natural slurpie" – with not sugar added. I dumped so bad, I thought I was going to die. Later I found out there was 45 grams of sugar in it.
Good news is you know know. Really great news is you didn't dump this time.

Bad news is I NEVER dump! WTF? That's one of the reasons I got the RNY! I figured it would be the best slap on the wrist!
Good news is, that as always, it's up to me what I put in my mouth, and I haven't touched another since I found out :)
I DID find some low fat/sugar mix at the Superstore which only has 5 grams of sugar and 60 calories and I can and have been making that one at home.

Don't worry – if you haven't "dumped" yet, you will. RnY patients always do. Factors are different for every individual. In-fact, I've found that eating something once doesn't mean I can eat it again. This happened recently with a drink I had several months ago and had no problem. Then I had it at Xmas time, and "dumped" hard. Thought I was going to die!!
Factors like how long you took to drink the cup and what other things you ate just before can make a big difference.
Now that you know it has all that sugar, best to just leave those drinks alone. :)
