Hi Tink,
I wish I had better news for you…
This did happen to me. I lost 120+ pounds in one year and my hair fell out in clumps, first it thinned, then it fell out….to the point that I had to shave off what was left.. That was 5 months ago and it is barely coming back in. I was told "not enough protein", but I eat protein bars and lean meats and cheeses now and still no luck. I think I'm hooped. I did see Dr. Amson recently and he assured me that it would come back, to give it time and he didn't seem too concerned.
On the plus side, I'm thin and I found a place that makes great hats! It doesn't sound like your case is wickedly bad though, so maybe you could try extra protein and hair bands? Hair bands can cover a multitude of sins….

Oh no!! It's been two years now and I did have the clumps falling out in the beginning but I thought it was done! I have been trying to cover it the entire day today, just because I know it looks like there's a hole in my head :( The rest of my hair looks fine but right now on top of my head not so great and I can't wear a hat… I think I will contact Dr Amson as well, thanks so much for reminding me that I can do that, I'm just freaking out here :(
thanks
Jannette

I am just over 2 years out as well. I am sorry this is happening to you. How is your protein intake? What about vitamins? These are the two areas I am consistant with.
I have heard this happening and think it will grow back over time. Is a good idea to talk to your surgeon about it forsure!
