Headaches and no sleep

I am one week post op and still get headaches.  I know it's not a migraine, cause I have them too at times :) it's just this lingering headache on the left side of my head.

Because of the headache (I think) I'm not sleeping well at all, waking up at midnight, then about 3am again and then at 7 again, very random,  the next day I feel really weak and end up sleeping for an hour around noon.

Did anyone else experience something like this and can we take Tylenols?

thanks everyone

Oh ya..I sure did!

I think I chalked it up too me eating way less and my body adjusting! Our bodies sure go through a lot for the first while. I remember my first few weeks were up and down. I had MANY headaches and I am not a person who got headaches frequently.

Tylenol is fine..extra strength even better :)

The bottom line is..you are NORMAL, hehe!

The headaches could be coming down from carb-cycling.  It is really common, not only after gastric bypass, but also for those starting low-carb diets.  Our low-carb diet just kind of comes with the territory.  Just one idea off the top of my head.

Hey never thought of that! Very well could be..I always thought it had to do with not eating enough food, LOL!!!

Me too, very annoying, but nothing a little tylenol and a nap to take the edge off for sure. It only lasted about a week for me. Hang in there it's so worth it….

That makes sense, I was a carbaholic before!  It's getting a bit better but a nap does help, I just need to get my sleep patterns straight now before I go to work.
thanks everyone!!

Yip I still wake up in the middle of the night and decided to keep a glass of water next to my bed, I take a couple of sips, but the water feels like stones that time of the night.  I can't seem to go back to sleep and not quite sure how I'm going to handle this going back to work :(

During the day I am then so tired with no energy at all

I am 13 months out and I still get headaches…infact  almost everyday…have this on the list to ask my doctor as well…LOL  Tylenol extra strength works very well…

I fiqure it is either my body saying more water, food and perhaps a vitamin shortage…as I have been taking little magnesium….but then I am under alot of stress in my marriage separation too. I just was never one to get them pre op….
