hey everyone,
8mths since my surgery and I reached goal today!! 145!!! I'm so happy! and so grateful for this opportunity.. it was a great morning on the scale, because my son has also lost.. 15lbs!! this has been no easy feat for him.. he has autism and has a hard time saying no to food, I think he's learned (from me likely ) to use food to help with some of his anxities.. but he's doing sooo well, and I'm sure my changes have been helping him.. it's been 2mths since we've really started watching his food intake/exercise…
anyways, I know the real work is still ahead of me… maintaining is going to be another battle I'm sure! But right now I feel up for the challenge, and just want to celebrate that I'm at goal!!!!

WTG! Congratulations on reaching goal. That is awesome that your son has lost weight as well. Already your lifestyle changes are having an affect on him. That is soooo good. I work with Autistic Adults and understand how difficult a feet this is for your son. Food is a natural reward for them and it is very comforting. You are doing an awesome job. How old is your son? Keep up the awesome work. Roxeanne

Good for you. You are right when you said now the hard part begins. It is more scary to maintain because you don't have the losing as a buffer. Congratulations.
