The right time to drink a protein shake.

It all depends on your personal preference really. I'm a personal
trainer and believe in the 'golden hour' theory – which basically says
you're best having your protein shake within one hour of finishing your
workout. I also advise taking one before you sleep, because as you may
well know, your body repairs muscle the most when you sleep.

It also depends on the protein shake you are taking. Once high in
sugar or energy probably won't be best taken before bed – probably best
in the morning but again, that depends on your personal preference too.

My advice, as a personal trainer, is to try four weeks of taking
your shake straight after your workout and one before bed too. If that
doesn't help out, you could try taking it in the morning and at night.
