Ok, so I had half a sandwhich for lunch and a mug of soup….I felt fine after. About 30-45 mins later I had to pig out and have two (halloween sized) licorices. Now I feel awful!
Why do we do this to ourselves? I even said outloud after I ate them, ok, I'm gonna pay for that aren't I…and what happens….It's not a full on dump, just nauscious.
ARG!!!!!! If I could, I'd kick myself in the A$$.

Hey Jenn,
We do it to ourselves because food is our issue. Don't beat yourself up. Thankfully you stopped at two candies. LOL Your pic looks great!

I agree with Maureen :)
And it was only 2 candies..I would have had 10 (geez, did I say that out loud, lol)
I haven't "dumped" yet but I was in a rush lastnight and did a STUPID thing myself!!! Before I did it I knew it was stupid..I did NOT measure what I was eating and that ALWAYS ends bad! My third time and you think I would know better *sigh* and yes I OVERATE and could not go to my meeting and had to go lay down. I thought forsure I would have my first "dump". I never had so much gurgling going on and liquid swishing around, lol..I know TMI…I don't know why I did that. I know better! I can't do anything without a measuring cup that is forsure! Ugh! I noticed I am not paying attention either..not chewing and taking the 20 mins to eat..no wonder I felt so ill last night. If death was an option I would have taken it *lol*! But I really paid more attention today. Maybe that was a form of dumping..not sure. All I know is I never want to feel like that again!
So I know what ya mean..well sorta, lol!
Sorry you felt sick :(

Thanks for the encouraging words. I have always known food was an issue otherwise I wouldn't have become obese, but I tried to beleive that things would change after surgery. I mean it did for the most part. Oh well, brushed off and ready to get going again!
Thanks again!

That is what I said to myself last night when I ate half a cookie and I had a full on dump which I will add is the first time for me! Being 11 months out I thought I was a lucky but cursed one who didn't dump oh how I was so wrong lol

Carrie,
While you may not have dumped you may have had the white foamies which is a sure indication of eating too much. I've had them a few times and once I threw up. Not fun!

Is this like when you get liquid coming up in your mouth and it feels like you are going to vomit but don't? I made a mistake last night and had tortilla chips and salsa and felt awful afterward, thinking I'm going to vomit, but just had the the little bits of "liquids" coming back up ??

Hi Jenn, I can so relate. For me, sometimes I just have to get that last bite in…even though I know I have had enough…but it tastes so good. Consequence is spending the next few minutes in pain and pressure and then PBing. I am better now at listening to my body but the food addict in me takes over now and then and makes the dumb decisions. I try not to beat myself up too much and move on….but sometimes I too could kick my own a$$. Barb

I will also do that, have that one last bite and then pay for it by lying on the bed wriggling around in pain until my food is digested. Not good if you are out for dinner at a restaurant or a friends place.
I tell my husband to look for signs, because I find that when I am out socializing that is when I overeat because I am not paying as much attention to the food I am consuming. My signs are, hiccoughing, and heavy sighing.
If I start to do those 2 things, I know I need to
"STEP AWAY FROM THE PLATE!!!" And my husband will nudge me gently and say "You're at your limit, better stop eating now"

I thought I could vomit but someone made me sooo afraid to vomit..telling me that is really hard on the pouch so I go into panic mode and PRAY REALLY HARD, LOL!!! Praying has worked but always think if I could JUST vomit I would feel fine! I have these vitamins that breaks down food to digest better (they taste like coffee..YUCK) and that seems to of helped some. But now I am back to measuring and when rushed like I am today….I take the time to measure because I will NOT make that mistake again IF I can help it! Life lessons!
