Sorry I haven't posted on here in ages.  Life has been keeping me busy.

I hit the one hundred weight loss on August 22 (my RnY was March 1st).  I find it so surreal that I've lost that much weight.  I feel so liberated and more like myself again.  Thank you Dr. Amson for this amazing tool!

My first wow moment came two days ago when I sat on the sofa and actually was able to cross my legs like a normal person :)  That was a great feeling.  Never knew I missed it.  lol

I have been hitting plateaus, as is normal, and working through them with increasing my protein and water intake.  Those are the two hardest things for me at this point in my life.  I had no problem with them post op though.

All you new post-ops, just hang in there, follow your post-op diet and be patient.  It didn't all go on overnight and it does take time to come off.

Cheers,

Lisa in PG

Lisa,

Congratulations on your success of hitting 100 lb mark, that is just terrific.  I can totally relate to what you are saying about it being so surreal.  I am now down 92.4lbs and I had my surgery on April 6.  This tool that we have been given is such a powerful tool if we choose to use it to it's full capacity.  Which I have chosen to do and I am so proud of myself for using it.

I myself have been lucky so far that I haven't been hitting any plateua's but I also make sure that I don't go a day without some sort of exercise….I am finding that when I do miss a day I feel so guilty that I have a hard time living with the guilt…funny how this should come about when in the past I never had a problem with it.  I think the best thing for me is I love it when I can go shopping now and I don't have to go to the plus sizes (but I find that I still do) but that I can actually buy cuter clothes that are more suited for my age and taste….or yeah and sexier too…lol

I have found that I have totally changed my lifestyle in the way of eating and exercising.  I know that this surgery has done a huge amount for me in this way.  I have totally gone Gluten free, sugar free, rice and pasta free and I don't even eat potatoes so you could say I am starch free to some degree as well.  I really believe that this has help tremendously in my weight loss.  I am most certain that I won't go back to the way I was before my surgery as I have gone thru too much and I don't want to go thru it again.

I too want to publically say thank you to Dr. Malik for giving me this tool to use!!! and I say that I will use it to it's full capacity.

That is awesome news Lisa!!! Been thinking about you lately too.

Your weight loss is so encouraging to all and its amazing with all our "wow moments" isn't it?? I have yet to conquer the crossing the legs wow moment but so determined to get there. I went back to counting calories, fat, protein and increasing my water again and it is working out so well!!!

Thanks for the encouragement and checking in :)

So Good!

Thanks!

I also was able to cross my legs in the pre-op stage when I had loss 21 pounds in 3 weeks. This is so cool, and everytime I do it, I feel good…

It is encouraging to hear your stories.

I am glad Lizette that you mention plateaus. It is hard when you don't lose and you do the right thing. We have to keep it up!
