I too am going to be a sleever Dec 29th 2011, I am so excited to begin the next stage of this WL journey. I have been on Dr Amsons waitlist for almost 7 years! Two years ago Dr Amson told me while I was a great candidate for surgery I was too healthy for the waitlist. He said that their were just too many people ahead of me who had more need for the surgery. I understood, but inside me I died alittle that day. I am so thankful I didn't give up that day (because believe me I thought about it). I will be turning 40 years old two days after my surgery, what better present is there in the whole wide world!!

I'm set for the beginning of March, so I'd really appreciate your on-going comments as u prepare, have, and recover from the "sleever" I read all about those having the by-pass surgery, but not as many are having the sleeve…so ur thoughts will be appreciated. Hope it all goes super smooth.. Bob

I had the sleeve in June. It really is awesome. I am down 82 lbs (18 lbs pre surgery) all together and am loving it! You will not regret it. I can eat pretty much anything just small amounts. I eat a lot of greek yogurt and fruit for snacks. Chicken breasts are a staple now and yam fries, baked in the oven. I still have 1 protein shake every morning for breakfast mixed with 2 tbsp of ground flax seed 1/2 a banana and frozen blueberries. Check out the World According to Eggface website for great wls recipe ideas. Also I found a great recipe for homemade protein bars that is my favorite afternoon snack, or great for a quick breakfast when running late lol. If you have any other questions I'd be happy to help.
Cheers
Heather
