Summer has kind-of sprung!

Yay! I am so excited to see the sunshine out. Since I am from European descent, I am pale white with blonde hair and blue eyes, in other words the sun does not take kindly to me. I was sprawled out on the deck of my home yesterday and got lost in the book I was reading. I definitely got lost in time because two hours passed…When I came inside I noticed I was no longer pale…I was red. Not just red, but deep crimson!!!! So needless to say I have been nursing a bottle of aloe vera lotion these past 2 days. But since I only got the front of myself burned, I decided today I was going to lay out in our beautiful 27 degree weather so I could get my back so I’d be even. The wasps had other ideas…it seems they are building a home underneath the deck and they took me as a threat. After high-tailing it into the house with all of my stuff I decided to just be two-tone. The red will fade…and I am definitely getting something to ward wasps away as I am allergic. The wasps I guess figured they’d save me from skin cancer..so thank you wasps for nipping my stupid idea in the butt!
Well I am going away this weekend to the in-laws. I am excited to be away for a few days to maybe get my mind off of things. I am having a hard time trying not to think about the surgery so much. I think it’s still the initial shock that I actually HAVE a date now…I just never thought I’d actually have a date…but I find myself happier. I find myself smiling more and noticing all the good things in life. I was in a depressed bubble before the call, and now I feel better.
Well thats all I have for you today so I will write more when I have come home.
Have a great long weekend everybody and enjoy the sunshine!!!!!

xoxo
