A big word to describe an action directly related to helping someone. Could be yourself, some one you love or for a cause you care deeply about.

For lots of reasons, arranging and receiving help and benefits that people are entitled to has become much more difficult in today’s world. Maybe it’s because our social and health systems are swamped or because it’s simply a bureaucratic way of minimizing costs. It’s certainly a paradox that in a world where there is so much, it’s becoming increasingly harder to receive even minimal support. Walking - A Great Exercise!

All of us want to loose weight as fast and as easy as possible, especially if we’re already in the morbidly obese category. Unfortunately many of us have been told that traditional weight lose becomes less effective, the heavier we are. We’ve all heard that to loose weight we have to decrease the food we eat (diet) and increase our exercise (energy output). If you’re like me, I “get” the principals, but sometimes my heart was never fully committed. Especially when you’re told that exercise should be 5 days a week for 60 minutes AND you should only eat, certain types of foods that add up to only a certain number of calories a day.

Out of Country Surgeries – New Killer Super Bug

Out of country surgery seems like such a great idea these days, especially with the none supportive incredibly ridiculous policies on gastric bypass and associated surgeries by provincial health authorities here in Canada. Why not go out of country? No waits times, considerably less costly and the surgeons are extremely qualified. But wait!  It appears that not all OOC experiences are the same. Exercise Program for Physically Impaired or Extremely Obese

One of the hardest things to start if you’re physically impaired or obese is some form of exercise. Worst of all, obesity and physically impairment always seem to go together. Just about every over weight friend I know has some form of physically disability that prevents them from getting more active.

The more weight we put on, the more problems we have.
