The price of obesity and the cost of wellness

I am really peeved. Not just a little peeved, but very peeved. Nobody seems to have the right idea when it comes to obesity and wellness.

So here are  a few suggestions. Maybe you should put your gym membership prices down. I mean it’s even $7.00 for a f*cking drop in rate! Then if I want a membership it is 464.00$ for the year. Yeah, I’m not kidding. Plus additional class costs if one might want to sweat it to the oldies in a class setting. Or say you just want a punch card. Thats $90.00 for 20 punch ins. If you go 5 days a week, that is one month equaling $90.00. It’s ridiculous! One woman exclaimed “I can go to McDonalds and have an entire weeks worth of food for $7.00. And while that may be true think of the price you pay for eating those foods. Think of the price of obesity vs the cost of wellness. The cost of wellness we have already established at the beginning of my rant, but the price of obesity any obese person could tell you about it. You knees hurt because of the weight crushing down on them. Your back aches all the time. You have the pains of somebody who is at the end of their life! I mean it sucks! So why do these rec centers and gym centers need to make these memberships so expensive when they are trying to promote health and wellness? They don’t need the extra money. Really, they don’t. The Government sets aside a certain amount of money each year to keep the rec centers open because they feel it is necessary. I’m wondering if some day we can’t have the membership fees reduced and put all these taxes we pay to good use. For if the cost of wellness wasn’t so high..the price of obesity wouldn’t be either.

Thats my rant for today.

You know how the government works……they would rather pay A LOT later than being proactive. Maybe they are just hoping we die instead of having to invest money into health prevention.

Exactly. If they look at the health costs of obesity and everything that costs them as we have many health problems being obese then they would be so much better off to shell out money for these surgeries or other treatments instead of having to shell out money for the 100′s of health problems that obese people face. lol. Okay I am done ranting…I think…stay tuned! haha lol.
